As part of its permanent collection of exhibits on display, the Norwalk Historical Society Museum in Norwalk, Connecticut, explored the town’s evolving role during two of the most pivotal periods in American history: the American Revolution and the Civil War.

 

The exhibit provides historical context, personal narratives, and rare artifacts to illuminate how local residents were impacted by—and contributed to—these transformative national conflicts.

 

Oxygen Design collaborated with museum staff and curators to execute the exhibit’s visual storytelling, developing interpretive panels and supporting graphic materials. The design approach emphasized clarity and historical resonance, using a color palette and typographic style that reflected the era while keeping content accessible and engaging for modern audiences.
