WESTON HISTORY & CULTURE CENTER
WESTON AT WORK

The Industry section examines Weston’s transition from craft-based production to mechanized manufacturing. Anchored by a 19th-century mill workbench and foundryman’s tools, the exhibit explores ironworking, milling, and axe production through archival maps, ledgers, and original Bradley Factory products. Interpretive panels chart the rise and decline of local mills and forges while emphasizing technological innovation and workforce diversity.

Historical photographs, catalogs, and artifacts illustrate Weston’s role in early American manufacturing and the broader circulation of its goods. Together, these materials reveal how industry reshaped both the town’s economy and its social landscape.
